Zermatt's extreme altitudes make for excellent snow
conditions all winter. This photo was taken late October on the glacier. Many of
the other photos were taken in March and April. Zermatt's winter season runs from late November
until the start of May - the longest season in the Alps - when all ski areas are
open. And then of course there is the excellent summer
skiing on the highest glacier ski area in Europe - which is open 365 days a
year. |
